Background The Federation of Hong Kong Hotel Owners Limited (FHKHO) was established in 1983 as a non-profit organisation. It was incorporated with limited liability in 1984. Our 49-strong hotel holding company members own more than 95% of hotel rooms in Hong Kong. Membership is by invitaion only. Objectives To safeguard the interests of hotel owners. To provide service to and advise members on industry-wide issues. To provide hotel managers and operators with guidelines governing the hotel industry. To negotiate with the government issues relevant to the hotel industry. To show support for or oppose against legislation affecting the hotel industry. To promote and support education and training of hotel industry workers. To promote and support the long term development of the hotel industry. To support the development of the tourism industry through coordination with other trade associations, political bodies and hospitality and tourism organizations.
